Come learn from Kelly Rose, Dickenson County's 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent, as she shares her skills and experience with painting barn quilt squares.
Kelly Rose – Barn Quilt Artist & Educator
Kelly Rose is a native of Dickenson County, VA. She is a self-taught artist, educator, and 4-H Extension Agent with Virginia Cooperative Extension who has been sharing the art and tradition of barn quilts since 2017. Blending her passion for Appalachian heritage, public art, and education, she has introduced many people to the history, design, and painting techniques that transform traditional quilt blocks into colorful works of outdoor art.
Over the past nine years, Kelly has developed and taught a variety of barn quilt workshops tailored to the needs of different audiences, venues, and timeframes.
