Dave Eggar presents Cello Song a romantic evening celebrating the powerful voice of the cello across the ages. Classics such as Bach's suites will live beside athletic Bluegrass hoedowns and reverential worship songs in an unforgettable evening of cello magic! Dave will be accompanied by guitarist Phil Faconti.

Seven-time Grammy nominee Dave Eggar has appeared as a featured solo performer at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Barbican Center London, the Sydney Opera House, Aspen Music Festival, Lincoln Center and more. A musical prodigy as a child, Dave began playing the cello and piano at age three, performed on Broadway and with the Metropolitan Opera at age seven, and debuted at Carnegie Hall at age fifteen. He is a graduate of Harvard University and the Juilliard School’s Doctoral Program. His list of awards and accomplishments includes accolades from Time magazine, ASCAP, The National Endowment for the Arts, Sony Records Elevated Standards Award in classical music, the Geraldine R. Dodge and Leonard Bernstein Foundation, and at fifteen, Dave was the youngest winner in the history of the Artists International Competition.

Eggar’s mission to “not just cross over, but to cross through” multiple genres of music is apparent with all of his releases. Whether it’s classical, reggae, bluegrass, jazz, pop, or world music, he finds a common voice within his musical vocabulary and introduces it with his own unique and imaginative vision.

Phil Faconti is a professional musician who has performed throughout the United States and in Europe as a solo guitarist. He studied at the classical music conservatory in Brooklyn College and has been touring ever since graduation. His unique blend of classical, flamenco and contemporary styles create a captivating, elegant and expressive musical journey for the listener. He's performed on the Today Show with Isac Elliot, up-and-coming pop star from Finland, as well as opened for John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival. His recorded collaborations include work with Norah Jones, The Hot Sardines, A Great Big World, Amber Rubarth, innovative Irish Dance Company Hammerstep, and Best Selling adventure novelist JD Netto. He has been on tour with Grammy-nominated Dave Eggar and Chuck Palmer, the Craig St Ramblers and many others. Faconti has also taught music in the New York City public school system.
