"Landscapes of Imagination" Painting Workshop

Participants will create and keep, a unique composition on a small canvas using acrylic paint from imagination or fantasy. Participants will be able to learn and practice some of the conventions or "best practices" most successful landscapes have in common on their own compositions.

About the event
Create a unique and perhaps fantastical painting from imagination, using acrylic paint on canvas. In this short studio session, participants will be able to learn and put into practice some of the conventions most successful landscapes have in common. What "theme" or content participants chose for their landscapes will be their choice with the only "rule" being it has to be a "landscape".
This informal workshop will led by Jim Veenstra, a professional artist, and Instructor in the visual arts for the University of Virginia’s College at Wise.
Bring your imagination and learn some painting techniques with Prof. James Veenstra, assistant professor of art at UVA Wise. Materials provided, be sure to wear clothing that you can get paint on.
