Attendance Policy
Students are required to attend all classes from June 23rd to July 26th, Monday through Friday each week, 1-5 pm.
If a student has a known conflict, please inform the camp director in advance. However, please be aware that it may impact the role the child receives for the production.
Students will NOT BE ALLOWED to miss any day of class starting July 14, 2025. The success of the show is dependent on each and every one of us being present.
Parents/guardians are responsible for dropping off and picking up their child on time, or ensuring that they ride the (potential) provided transportation to and from Central High School and the designated pickup/drop-off locations.

Dress Code
1. Movable Clothing
Students should wear clothing that allows for easy movement and flexibility during theater activities. This includes loose-fitting tops, shorts, or pants made of breathable fabric. Avoid clothing that is too tight or restrictive, as it can limit movement and cause discomfort.
2. Modest Clothing
All clothing should be modest and appropriate for a theater setting. Avoid clothing that is revealing, such as low-cut tops, short shorts, or spaghetti straps. We encourage students to wear clothing that makes them feel confident and comfortable, while keeping in mind the professional and respectful nature of a theater setting. In order to allow students to focus on the coursework of the camp, please avoid graphic clothing content that may be considered controversial.
3. Close-Toed Shoes
Students are required to wear close-toed shoes during all activities at our theater summer camp. This includes rehearsals, performances, and workshops. Avoid sandals, flip-flops, or any other open-toed shoes, as they can be a safety hazard during theater activities. Students who do not wear close-toed shoes may be limited in their participation of camp activities.
4. Hair and Accessories
Students should ensure that long hair be tied back. Avoid large and dangling jewelry that can be distracting/potentially dangerous during performances or rehearsals.
5. Clothing for Special Performances
For special performances, students may be required to wear specific clothing or costumes. Parents/guardians will be notified in advance of any specific requirements, and arrangements will be made to ensure that all students have access to appropriate clothing or costumes.
Parents/guardians will be asked to provide their student(s) with “show blacks” in the weeks leading up to the performance. This will include:
- long sleeve, black top
- long, black, moveable pants
- black socks
- black, close-toed shoes
More information will be sent out via "TEAMREACH" at a later date.
Cell Phone Policy
Please Note: In cases of DOCUMENTED MEDICAL NECESSITY, students may be allowed to carry their cell phones with them, using them ONLY for medical purposes during class/rehearsal times.
1. Cell Phone Use During Classes and Performances
Cell phones must be turned off and put away in a designated bin upon arrival. We want our students to fully engage and participate in their activities, and distractions from cell phones can prevent them from doing so.
2. Cell Phone Use During Breaks
Students are allowed to use their cell phones during designated break times. This includes lunch breaks and other scheduled breaks throughout the day. However, we ask that students be mindful of their surroundings and respectful to others who may be nearby.
Unauthorized Recording of other students or staff is NEVER permitted.
3. Emergency Contact Number
In case of an emergency, during the hours of 1:00 - 5:00 P.M. , parents/guardians can contact Camp Director Ashlyn Mullins at (276) 298-1019. This is the personal phone number of the Camp Director, and should only be used in emergency situations.
During camp, the Director will have their phone on them at all times. Other notices can be emailed to mullinsashlyn7@gmail.com.
4. Violations of Cell Phone Policy
If a student violates the cell phone policy, they will receive a warning for the first offense. This warning will be documented and shared with the student’s parent/guardian. If cell phone use is a continued issue, the decision to continue the student’s participation will be at the discretion of the program director.
