W. Campbell Edmonds Concert Series

Join the Symphony of the Mountains Percussion Quartet for a fun and fascinating evening of rhythm, energy, and unexpected sounds. The concert features catchy melodies and mesmerizing beats played on a variety of instruments—including drums, marimbas, blocks of wood, and even colorful plastic boomwhackers!

You’ll hear the upbeat melody of Watercolor Sun by Ivan Trevino, drumming and tunes in Second Thoughts by Evan Chapman, and the intense, driving rhythms of Spiderweb Lead by Adam Silverman. The program also includes pieces by Steve Reich, Emma O’Halloran, and Anders Åstrand that explore sound in surprising and beautiful ways. Whether you’re a music lover or just curious, this is the perfect chance to experience the power and creativity of percussion up close!

Symphony of the Mountains’ commitment to service encompasses the entire region, without regard for state or county boundaries. The orchestra consists of more than 70 professional musicians conducted by Cornelia Laemmli Orth.
