NPR described her work as a “breakthrough for an artist on the rise.” Rolling Stone described her music as “a masterful blend of lonesome folk and neo-blues.” Amythyst Kiah’s unfettered and exquisitely controlled voice brought national attention to this eastern Tennessee singer/songwriter with her Grammy nominated hit “Black Myself,” which also won Song of the Year at the 2019 Folk Alliance International Awards.

A powerful new voice with Appalachian roots. This performance is part of the W. Campbell Edmonds Concert Series.

Tickets are $15 at the door, and all students are free to attend. Pro-Art season tickets will be honored for this performance. To help reduce the spread of Covid-19, Pro-Art requests patrons to wear a mask for the duration of the performance.
